Diesel tank gauges are installed onto commercial diesel tanks for the purpose of displaying visually how much fuel is within the tank. Whilst primarily used to identify when the contents are getting low and a fuel delivery is required, diesel fuel tank level gauges can also be used when the tank is being filled up to see when it is almost full. They are often combined with a diesel tank alarm so that when the tank level hits a certain low or high level, the user is audibly as well as visually alerted.
